Josephine Burstein
Josephine Burstein, 88, of Surprise, AZ, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Del Webb City Hospice, Sun City West, AZ. Born on July 8, 1920 in Rockford, IL, she was the daughter of Louis and Sarah Gordon.
She was a life-long resident of Elgin as well as a 54 year member of Congregation Kneseth Israel of Elgin. Josephine was also a past president of The Elgin Chapter of Hadassah.
Josephine is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Maurice Burstein; and brothers Jerry Gordon, David Gordon, and William Gordon.
She is survived by her son, Gordon (Robin) Burstein; granddaughter, Kim (Eric) Biddle; and great-grandchildren, Lena and Zoe Biddle.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Burial will follow. O’Connor – Leetz Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
